Boeing 737 MAX

Europe’s aviation regulator has outlined five major requirements it wants Boeing Co. to address before it will allow the planemaker’s 737 Max to return to service ...EASA’s checklist includes a number of issues that have been disclosed: the potential difficulty pilots have in turning the jet’s manual trim wheel, the unreliability of the Max’s angle of attack sensors, inadequate training procedures, and a software issue flagged just last week by the FAA pertaining to a lagging microprocessor. But the agency also listed a previously unreported concern: the autopilot failing to disengage in certain emergencies.

Sau zbura in hopuri?

A select group of US and international airline pilots are expected to participate in the final round of simulator testing of Boeing's new flight control system software for the 737 MAX as soon as early November, according to two sources familiar with the plans.
This timeline, which has not been previously reported, is a sign Boeing engineers' months long work to fix the plane's flight control software is nearing completion...

The FAA will observe how pilots interface with the planes' new flight control software, and those observations will dictate the sort of pilot training the FAA will propose, the source said...

A Boeing source believes if all goes according to plan the FAA will unground the plane by the end of the year and airlines will begin flying it by early 2020.

S-ar putea sa vedem multi furnizori in faliment ceea ce ar putea afecta si Airbus intr-o oarecare masura.

Oare este de bine ?
This airplane is designed by clowns, who in turn are supervised by monkeys," a company pilot said about the Boeing 737 Max in a message to a coworker in 2016.

I'll be shocked if the FAA passes this turd," an employee said of the Boeing 737 Max in a May 2018 message.
"Would you put your family on a MAX simulator trained aircraft? I wouldn't," one employee messaged another in February 2018.
"Best part is we are re-starting this whole thing with the 777X with the same supplier and have signed up to an even more aggressive schedule!" an employee said expressing concern about picking the lowest cost simulator supplier.

"I don't know how to fix these things…it's systemic. It's culture. It's the fact that we have a senior leadership team that understand very little about the business and yet are driving us to certain objectives," an employee wrote in June of 2018.

Foreign object debris, an industrial term for rags, tools, metal shavings and other materials left behind by workers during the production process...

At a Congressional hearing about the Max crashes last December former Boeing executive Ed Pierson described conditions at the company’s Renton, Washington facility as “chaotic” and said he had reported “serious concerns about production quality” to management, warnings that were ignored.
