National carrier Bulgaria Air was picked by the government to connect Bulgaria and China via Kazahstan. As a result the airline will have the right to operate regular flights on the Sofia - Almaty -Beijing route.
The airline is required to start the operation of the line in 6 months from the date of her appointment.
For the decision to enter into force, Bulgaria Air must be approved by the Chinese aviation authorites.
The Bulgarian airline will most probably use its medium-haul leased Airbus A320 machine for the route. The second option is that it will enter into a "wet lease" on a "Bulgaria Air" was determined by the cabinet for transport between Bulgaria and China. Thus, "Bulgaria Air" have the right to serve with regular flights between Sofia and Almaty-Beijing-Sofia.
