Incepand cu 15 Mai 2013 cei de la Etihad Airways vor zbura si la Amsterdam. Ruta va fi operata cu A330-200.

Nou deal Etihad, intra in actionariatul Jet Airways /India. Pentru 24% din actiuni s-au platit 379mil USD.

Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International (AUH)) has submitted its offer for a 49% stake in struggling Jat Airways (JU, Belgrade Nikola Tesla (BEG)) to the Serbian government, the country’s national daily “Politika” reports. The offer, which outlines Etihad's plans for the Serbian national carrier over the next three years, includes various cost cutting and revenue-enhancing measures. Firstly, a doubling of Jat's fleet to between 14 and 16 mid-range jets will be undertaken by 2015, with a further eight ATR72s to be added. There is also emphasis on a 1998 order for eight Airbus A319-100s that was never fulfilled. Should Etihad's proposal be accepted, Airbus Industrie (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac (TLS)) would pitch directly to Abu Dhabi. Secondly, the workforce will be downsized from the current 1'243 employees to 800 initially, before eventually being trimmed to 600. Cuts will mostly be made in administration rather than among flight and cabin crew. In return, with Belgrade underwriting all of Jat's outstanding debts, Etihad plans to deliver a viable Jat by 2014 with a profit of EUR25million expected by Q4 2015. The Emirati carrier has given the government a June 15 deadline to respond to its offer.

Fair enough, sa se taie din TESA decat din cabin crew. Oferta suna bine, iar daca se va duce la bun sfarsit, poate prezenta jn nou pericol lanadresa ROT.

Hai nu fi unfair..au un 737-200 vechi dar flota de baza e 737-300...cu nimic mai prejos decit clasicele Taromului.

Ce vrea Etihad? Simplu...un carrier in regiune care sa le completeze investitiile:

-UE se poate deservi cu Aer Lingus, Air Berlin Niki
-JAT este non-EU si cea mai mare piata din toate tarile astea minuscule din zona
- JAT are nevoie de flota noua(737 au cam 25 de ani), Air Berlin are un excedent de 8 sau 9 avioane numai anul asta..

CSA e deja intrat Korean, Adria sunt prea mici si prea aproape de Niki, Croatia.. in curind in EU si daca vor crapa pot intra cu flota Air Berlin.

Ai inteles cum se aduna toate elementele in puzzle?

Nu e un avantaj, dar un element ce duce la o decizie procumparare. Daca erau in UE, puteau sa inceapa operatiuni oricind prin orice alte companii detinute. Asa, e doar o oportunitate in plus (e drept nu una relevant de mare) in toata reteaua asta globala pe care si-o creeaza.

Cum Etihad iubeste mult Skyteam, sa nu vedem in curind Taromul tras intr-un rol secundar !

Nu are legatura cu TAROM. Pietele nu se intersecteaza decat pe OTP-BEG unde exista deja un acord ferm de CS si nu e asa felie mare de tort incat sa se declanseze batalii pentru ea.

Catchment din RO pe BEG? Nu prea cred, daca chiar sunt nevoiti banatenii sa zboare din alta parte decat TSR, 90% vor alege BUD precum o fac deja.

Putin probabil, mai ales ca BEG nu va fi in Schengen iar controlul vamal va reprezenta un inconvenient major pe zborurile scurte. Oricum nu vad ce ar putea oferi BEG in plus fata de MUC/VIE/OTP/BUD, incat sa-i faca pe banateni sa zboare pe acolo.

confort.. daca leaga Belgradul de hubul leisure al Air Berlin la Düsseldorf...vor duce paxii de Caraibe pe acolo..sa asteptam si sa vedem cum se va armoniza reteaua 'Etihad money share' in Europa..multi inca nu isi dau seama ca vorbim deja de peste 200 de jets..cind toate sinergiile isi vor face efectul multi vor avea o supriza

Etihad continua extinderea:
"Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi Int'l) is reportedly in discussions with Swiss regional carrier Darwin Airline (F7, Lugano) to buy a minority stake in Darwin. According to a report by the Corriere del Ticino, Darwin chief executive Maurizio Merlo has confirmed a recent visit by an Etihad delegation to Lugano. Etihad is interested in positioning Darwin as a feeder carrier for its own flights and its European "equity alliance" partners. Darwin currently operates ten Saab 2000s and wet-leases two ATR72-200s from other carriers. It is currently reviewing potential fleet replacement options including the ATR72-600"

Cred ca mai degraba cauta o solutie pentru flota de Q400 de la Air Berlin, pentru care deocamdata nu exista nici un interesat la externalizare.

Darwin e feeder in SkyTeam asa ca apropierea Etihad si o posibila iesire Air Berlin par iminente.

Se confirmă știrea de mai sus. Darwin va fi rebranduit în Etihad Regional, urmând ca în 2014 21 de rute noi să fie deschise.

Am omis să scriu în primul mesaj. Tot în 2014, Etihad deschide o rută către ZRH cu 333. Se intră pe alt teritoriu al LH ... curios cum vor reacționa aceștia.
