- FCO-OTP 14/7->12/7
- LIN-OTP 6/7->5/7

Am vazut multi "specialisti in aviatie" care neglijaza total importanta majora a pozitionarii geografice strategice a aeroporturilor. In realitate, ignoranta totala a comfortului pasagerilor si mai ales a timpului pierdut de acestia in zboruri de conexiune pe contra-sens duce la ... faliment. Atentie TAROM !!!!!!

07JUL2013: A rundown of Alitalia's new 3-year turnaround strategy
Alitalia (AZ, Rome Fiumicino) has unveiled its new 3-year restructuring industrial plan aimed at stemming continued losses. Among the new highlights of the plan, presented by new CEO, Mr Gabriele Del Torchio, are that routes will be funnelled into the three key gateways of Rome Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate. Slots liberated at Milan Linate from flights to Rome Fiumicino will be used for new point-to-point international connections serving Northern Italy and, in particular, its business market. Linate will serve Copenhagen Kastrup, Budapest, Vienna, Stockholm Arlanda, Helsinki Vantaa, Malta, Tallinn Lennart Meri and Prague. Malpensa will serve non-EU destinations including Cairo Int'l, Tunis, Moscow Sheremetyevo and Tirana. Out of Rome, Alitalia is considering serving Nuremberg, Lvov, Bordeaux, Skopje, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Ankara Esenboga, Marrakech, Misurata, Minsk Int'l 2, Basle/Mulhouse/Freiburg, Marseilles, Rostov, Pristina, Damascus and Erbil. New intercontinental destinations which may be introduced between Winter 2014 and Winter 2016 are Rome Fiumicino to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta, Seoul Incheon, Santiago de Chile Int'l, San Francisco, CA and Johannesburg O.R. Tambo; Milan Malpensa to Shanghai Pudong, Abu Dhabi Int'l and Osaka Kansai; Venice Marco Polo to Tokyo Narita. In the short and medium-haul sectors, Alitalia plans to cut overlaps with Air One (AP, Rome Fiumicino) through the establishment of a new web-oriented brand due to replace Air One, thereby allowing Alitalia to focus on its Rome/Milan hubs. Out of bases in Catania, Palermo, Venice Marco Polo and Pisa, the new as-yet-unnamed carrier will attempt to recapture lost market-share in North-East Italy while catering to high demand in Sicily. Fleet-wise, the airline will acquire six new aircraft in 2016 while ten A330-200 will undergo reconfiguration to better suit market demand. Its frequent flyer programme, Millemiglia, is to be spun off. In terms of its relationship with other carriers, further partnerships including codeshares and intermodal air-rail link options are to be developed.

"Alitalia Board to Discuss Partial Renationalization
In a statement late on Thursday, Italy’s coalition government said it had drafted Poste Italiane, the state-owned post office, to join the airline’s existing shareholders in a multimillion-euro recapitalization plan that would also include new financing to keep Alitalia flying...
A person with knowledge of the proposal said the post office had been asked to invest roughly 75 million euros ($100 million) in Alitalia, equivalent to a 12 percent stake.

Italian media reports, citing unnamed government officials, said existing shareholders — including Air France-KLM, which currently holds 25 percent of Alitalia but has expressed a willingness to increase its stake — were being asked to inject at least 150 million euros more in exchange for new shares. ..

The government’s rescue proposal comes just hours before Alitalia was facing a possible grounding of its operations by Italy’s civil aviation authority and came after a threat by Eni, Italy’s state-owned energy company, to stop supplying Alitalia with jet fuel beginning on Saturday if shareholders did not come forward with a credible financing plan. Eni, which supplies about half of Alitalia’s fuel, has extended more than 30 million euros in credit to Alitalia
for which it has not been paid...
First, it was not immediately clear whether the plan would pass muster with European Union competition regulators,..
The carrier is saddled with debt of nearly 1 billion euros.."
