O noua companie aeriana a fost anuntata astazi in Ungaria. Finantata de investitori din Oman si Emiratele Arabe isi propune sa devina un fel de flag-carrier pentru Ungaria. Pe moment au contract de leasing incheiat pentru 6 aeronave din care prima va ajunge in Budapesta in 18 august 2013. Este vorba de un Boeing 737-500 cu inregistrarea HA-SHA. Pana in 2017 vor sa ajunga la 50 de aeronave din care 20 narrow-body, 10 wide-body si 20 regionale. Vor fi o companie aeriana full service si nu isi propun sa concureze cu LCC-uri. In prima perioada vor opera zboruri charter.

Vise cam umede din punctul meu de vedere, mai ales ca se vorbeste de A330, A340. Un alt setback factor important cred eu e numele care e foarte greu de pronuntat pentru straini.

Totusi compania a fost anuntata, au cel putin un avion si se pare ca vor porni. Cat va tine "benzina"...vom vedea pe parcurs.

Da, si mie mi se pare ca sufera un pic de o anumita "boala maghiara" :D (o spun cu drag si nu cu rautate - deci tratati va rog ca atare :) ), si anume "visele imperiale" ;D

Dealtfel si alegerea numelui tot de acolo, din aceleasi vise "se trage" ... aceasta gândire nu prea lasa loc de alte considerente (oportunitate, diplomatie, marketing etc.).

Pâna una-alta au încercat cu un mic truc sa faca rost de AOC achizitionând Avicraft Kft însa autoritatea aviatica maghiara NKH a refuzat acordarea AOC-ului în acest mod. Deci deocamdata sa-si mai faca niste lectii ... ;)

Aia cu numele n-ar fi neaparat o problema ca si KLM e imposibil de pronuntat :D

Se vorbeste pe alte forumuri de implicarea Oman Air si de acolo si numele, cu conotatii simbolistice in zona tarilor din Golf.

Dar cu Ryan si Easy apasind pe acceleratie, cu Norvegian in expansiune (eu inca ii vad cumparind Wizz, daca nu o va face IAG), Etihad definitivind si Lingus in equity group, nu prea vad mult loc pentru nou veniti la asemenea volume.

Sólyom Hungarian Airways’ initial routes were revealed with the airline planning to serve Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Milan, Paris and Stockholm from Budapest. The airline, according to reports from Vilaggazdasag, Budapest Business Journal and AIRportal.hu, expects to take delivery of its first aircraft on 18-Aug-2013, with ticket sales to launch around the same time. The airline expects to take delivery of five more aircraft by the end of Sep-2013. Sólyom's call sign will be "English" Hungary's Capitol Consulting Group (CCG) stated the airline's CEO József Vágó's estimates of the airline's operations are nearly impossible to achieve and predicted the airline would rapidly accumulate "massive losses" ahead of potentially collapsing in 2017. As previously reported by CAPA, the airline plans to replace Malev Hungarian Airlines which suspended operations in early 2012 and plans to operate six aircraft by the end of Sep-2013. The airline plans to expand its fleet to 25 aircraft by the end of 2014 and 50 by the end of 2017, including 10 widebody aircraft.

Sólyom Hungarian Airways (HUN, Budapest) has been taken over completely by János Lucsik, one of the start-up's three original owners which had included Robert Hurtyák and József Vágó.
According to reports in the Hungarian press, Lucsik, who is now Managing Director of Sólyom Hungarian Airways and of Sólyom Holdings, says he has now been able to reduce the company's outstanding debt by 80 percent while half the backdated wages owed to previous employees have now been paid.
Lucsik went to add that the rejuvenated carrier is now searching for prospective Hungarian investors to help move the project forward. Despite enormous publicity and media coverage, Sólyom failed to launch in September last year after an unnamed Omani investor pulled out of the venture at the last moment.
The start-up has yet to secure its Air Operator's Certificate, but now plans to focus on charter and ACMI operations initially in case it eventually does

Diferenta e ca cei de la Carpatair au zburat un pic. Astia erau din start fara nicio sansa la ce baliverne au bagat la asa zisa lansare.
