Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has given the green light to begin bankruptcy proceedings for Transaero airlines, according to sources cited by online newspaper Gazeta.ru. Negotiations on a takeover of Russia's second-biggest carrier by Aeroflot have been deadlocked. According to sources, Aeroflot took a hard line refusing the Transaero consolidation...
Russia's federal aviation service has told Transaero to stop all ticket sales, TASS reports.

The banks are opposed to the bankruptcy, but Aeroflot says they should have better assessed the risk when they gave loans to Transaero. According to Aeroflot, the airline had an extremely risky strategy in staying afloat.

Transaero is in such financial straits that it can’t refuel its planes, which is now done by Aeroflot. It said it would stop refueling Transaero planes on September 30, but First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov asked Aeroflot to move the deadline to midnight October 2, Russian business media RBC reported..

At the beginning of September, Aeroflot said it intended to acquire a 75 percent stake in Transaero, which has about a $4 billion debt. Aeroflot's main shareholder is the Russian state, which owns 51 percent stake in the carrier.

Guvernul rus sacrifica Transaero pentru a salva compania de stat. Eliminarea lui Transaero va permite Aeroflotului sa preia rutele si sa maximizeze utilizarea flotei proprii.
Olga Pleshakova a oferit 100% din pachetul consolidat de actiuni unui consortiu de banci creditoare - dar s-a lovit de refuzul ferm al celor doi cei mai mari creditori: Alfa-Bank & Sberbank, care prefera sa vada compania alunecind in faliment.
Faliment din care nu or sa se aleaga cu mare lucru.
...dar asta-i jocul...

...Aeroflot onoreaza contractele Transaero pina pe 15oct15 - caci aceasta din urma nu prea are cu ce sa plateasca nici combustibilul, si nici taxe de aeroport si de drum.
Oricum, sint 10 zile in care se pot intimpla multe. Moscova e plina de mistere si surprize...

Daca Transaero falimenteaza scapa de obligatia de a lua 380.. aceeasi poveste ca si in Japonia..oricum cu actuala criza economica rusa exista supracapacitati mari in piata si Transaero va fi sacrificata pentru a salva cite ceva din cifrele Aeroflot.

... cum ziceam...: surpriza vine de la S7. Filev vrea sa preia 51% din Transaero. Mingea e acum la Kremlin...
Lasind Transaero balta, Aeroflot si-a consumat razbunarea ... o ranchiuna mai veche legata de certificarea ruseasca a lui B777-300ER, primul dintre care trebuia sa fie operat in Rusia de catre Aeroflot. Ccertificarea fusese impiedicata / incetinita de mama lui Sacha Plechakov actionarul majoritar al Transaero, mama care era simultan si actionar Transaero si sefa la MAK - AACul rusilor...
S7 a ramas mereu in linia a doua, preferind pina in 2014 consolidarea dupa o faza de crestere destul de agresiva - lasind pe Transaero & Aeroflot sa se bata.
Anul acesta au deschis, Salonic, Ibiza / Malaga, Bangkok / Phuket - si se pare ca le merge bine... sau, in fine: le merge cel mai putin prost dintre toti operatorii rusi...

Rosaviatsia conducted an inspection of the Moscow-based airline over the period from 6-20 October, based on its deteriorating financial position.
It states that, as a result of the audit, it has concluded that Transaero does not have the ability to service its debts and fully fund its continuing operations.
This means the carrier “does not meet” certification requirements laid down in Russian federal aviation regulations.
Rosaviatsia says that it has sufficient grounds – including safety and consumer-rights concerns – to revoke the airline’s operating certificate, which will be withdrawn from 26 October.

... rezultat destul de previzibil ... asta ar face ploile lui S7, daca i se permite... transaero fiind astfel 100% destinat falimentului sau lichidarii voluntare - S7 ar prelua rute si contracte de leasing aeronave, lasind datoriile si ceva asseturi imobiliare in Transaero...

Unele guri rele prevad ca si Aeroflot are ceva interese sa opreasca contractul pt 787 si sa preia leasingurile Transaero. 767 o mai duc vreo 4-5 ani pina la unheavycheck, 777 mai au in medie un ciclu.

Ideal pentru a fi inlocuite cu MS-21-400, pentru ca Transaero folosea capacitatea pentru turisti spre Egipt etc.

Varianta 400 nu va iesi prea curand, ramanand deocamdata, la stadiul de planuri (inclusiv motoarele PW si Perm sunt in lucru doar pentru primele doua variante); au prioritizat acoperirea golului dintre SSJ100 si Tu-204 (in plus, s-au mai facut investitii si in modernizarea lui Tu-204 (care tot nu prea se vinde)).

Avioanele rusesti nu se vand din cauze obiective (consum, fiabilitate etc) sau din motive politice? Observ ca pretul lor e mai bun decat al concurentei, iar rusii au traditie in aviatie, nu sunt amatori.

Despre SSJ stiu ca e in parteneriat si ca nu e chiar rusesc, insa ma refeream mai mult la Tu-204 care se pare ca a fost modernizat recent.

Motivele nu sunt chiar 100% politice. In primul rand tot ce nu e SSJ si e 100% rusesc are un consum peste cele din vest. Plus ca liniile de productie din Rusia nu sunt in stare sa scoata avioanele in timpi rezonabili (dureaza mult).
