Turkish Airlines Chairman Ayci confirmed today plans to begin flights to Australia from June / July next year following the arrival of the airline’s first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. First B787-9 TK delivery is set for June 2019.

The New Istanbul Airport will give 43 of its 77 gates and 15 of 28 baggage carrousels to Turkish Airlines. The airline’s Chairman Ayci confesses that the new Istanbul Airport move is “a pain in the neck". "A documentary will be shot. After we normalize everything we’re going to look back at it and say, “we must be crazy. Did we really do this?”
