Certificarea European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) si Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) a fost obtinuta la mai putin de un an de la primul zbor. Livrarea primului exemplar catre Qatar Airways, clientul de lansare pentru A350-1000, va avea loc in luna decembrie.
Cele 3 Airbus-uri A350-1000 de uzina echipate cu motoare Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 au acumulat in timpul testelor peste 1600 de ore de zbor. Dintre acestea, 150 de ore au fost bifate de un A350-1000 configurat ca pentru o companie aeriana pentru a demonstra ca este gata sa intre in serviciul comercial. A350-1000 este similar in proportie de 95% cu A350-900, model pentru care tot Qatar Airways a fost client de lansare. Cu un fuzelaj mai lung, A350-1000 poate primi in plus 40 de pasageri fata de -900 (layout in 3 clase de calatorie). Pana acum, 11 clienti de pe 5 continente au comandat 169 de unitati A350-1000.
